The KASSIA - The female specific longboard by Eden Saul - Dead Kooks

This female specific longboard shaped by Australian Eden Saul has been designed with Kassia Meador. After a while in the making, the duo came up with a sleek narrow and thinned out outline that keeps The Kassia sensitive and fast, while also being super user friendly for smaller surfers. Kassia's favorite size? 9'5" x 22 9/16 x 2 5/8.

A flattened rocker with a little tail kick, a subtle concave running through the front end to a very mellow rolled bottom with a rail band that comes way up almost meeting the deck which has just a small amount of crown and roll.

 

Shaped in Byron Bay

This piece of foam has been shaped in Byron Bay, Australia. This coastal town in the southeastern Australian state of New South Wales is the breeding ground for some of the best surfboard builders in the world.

Eden Saul, the man behind Dead Kooks, has played a big role making us understand why owning an alternative surfboard is important. It wasn't a surprise when Eden was invited to the Electric Surfboard Acid Test by Stab. Get to know more about Saul in this shaper profile video.

Touted as the "Queen of noseriding" by the New York Times, Kassia is the former runner up on the WSL Women's Longboard Tour in 2011.

She is now a successful entrepreneur who runs her own company, KASSIA+SURF with a goal to create products of the highest quality for the female surf community.
